Working at ABAX

Lauren George joined us in July to begin her year’s marketing placement alongside her University degree. She oversees the marketing and PR side of the UK office, as well as office duties.

From day one, I felt as though I had worked at ABAX for longer. Everyone was really welcoming and friendly, and had me playing table tennis by lunch time.

In terms of the job, it is so varied - one day I can be writing a press release to be published in the local paper, another day I can be at the Peterborough United football stadium. This means that the amount of people that I have met internally within ABAX, and externally is numerous. If I have an idea that I think will be effective, I am able to go ahead with it – which I find rewarding that I am trusted.

The internal environment is like no other – with specific months throughout the year dedicated to a theme. This month being ‘Wild Wild West’ where we dress up as Cowboys and lasso the cactus in our breaks. In addition, trips to Norway every 6 months to bond with the other staff members in Planet ABAX. It is definitely clear that staff satisfaction is important within ABAX, as happy staff means happy customers.
