ABAX UK Chief Executive Officer Chris Miller and Quality Manager Jon Hearn will be speaking on the topic ‘Documenting Driving for Business’ at the event on Thursday (May 11) from 10.15am to 10.45am in the Accounting in Business Theatre.
Chris Miller said: “ABAX help businesses in the UK and all over Europe to ensure that their vehicle fleet is used in compliance with specific tax guidelines. We specialise in helping companies to establish the rules and then supply the tools for them to succeed.”
Light commercial vehicles, company cars and grey fleet account for more than 5.4 million vehicles on the road in the UK.
The talk will outline how the HMRC has strict requirement for very specific ways in which the use of these vehicles is reported.
Chris added: “Failure to comply with HMRC standards has seen businesses and individuals collect four-figure fines and penalties from the tax authorities.
“ABAX use telematics as the method of capturing data from vehicle usage in order to allow businesses and their employees to generate digital driving records that comply with the requirements of the tax authorities.
“Whether you have 1 vehicle or 1000, the same HMRC legislation applies and we find the vast majority of companies do not know all the rules and are leaving themselves open to large tax penalties. We look forward to meeting everyone there.”
More than 6,500 attendees are expected to arrive at ExCeL London today and tomorrow.
ABAX will be on Stand Number 760. They will be giving away the ABAX digital mileage claim mobile app for free and running a HMRC fleet compliance survey with a chance to win two tickets to the Elton John concert at the ABAX Stadium in Peterborough next month.
