Looking back on 2015

As we approach the Christmas period, its time to look back on the jam-packed year of 2015.
2015 - 2016

From new acquisitions, to anniversaries, it certainly has been a busy but fun-filled year at ABAX. But let us focus on the UK.

January kicked off the year in style as ABAX employees travelled to the Head Office in Larvik, for a Winter Wonderland themed weekend. ABAX aim for employee satisfaction, therefore arrange two weekends a year for team building. All members of staff from each country are able to integrate with the other countries and their own departments.

To increase employee satisfaction, ABAX also dedicate two months a year to specific themes. March being called 'March Madness' with a Fairground theme, with candy floss making and cross dressing days.

In July, ABAX UK received a triple approved ISO certification, following an external audit. This means that all six countries in which ABAX operate are certified by NEMKO, a Norwegian body.

The first weekend in August saw 260 employees travel to Lofoten for the second kick-off of the year. This weekend consisted of rib boating, sea fishing and other fun-filled activities. The next kick-off in January 2016 will see all ABAX employees heading back out to Larvik for another team building weekend.

The second month of employee satisfaction and motivation was the theme of Wild Wild West - whereby the offices were decorated, employees dressed as cowboys and Wild West themed activities were held in the offices.

ABAX celebrated the year anniversary of the ABAX Stadium in November. This partnership has been great for ABAX, with great coverage in the community.

ABAX UK wre also privileged to be nominated for Employer of the Year award at Peterborough Telegraph Awards. The night resulted in ABAX being Highly Commended which as a great achievement.

The month of December has certainly been full of excitement, due to the appointment of a new CEO, Chris Miller and the acquisition of ABAX UK. This enables ABAX for further growth in the UK market.

It's safe to say that the next year will see many more events, with our expansion project ever-growing and more recruits joining the team, meaning a move to new offices to house these recruits. We are all looking forward to what 2016 brings.
