ABAX has relocated its UK office to the Allia Future Business Centre situated inside the ABAX Stadium – home of Peterborough United Football Club.

The technology company currently employs 50 people at the Peterborough office, with space for further expansion as the company extends its activity across the UK.

Chris Miller, ABAX UK Chief Executive, said: “A number of new recruits have started with us this year to double the size of ABAX’s UK team. The new space and facilities at our offices are proving to be the perfect environment.

“Peterborough remains at the core of ABAX’s UK operation. We are recruiting locally and the central location of the city is allowing us to spread our activity further across the UK. For example, we now have a team of six focusing on London.

“I would like to thank The Mayor of Peterborough and all our other guests, including from Peterborough United Football Club, for attending our officially opening.

The Mayor of Peterborough, Councillor John Peach, cut the ribbon to open the new office.

He said: “It gives me great pleasure to officially open this impressive new office for ABAX, a company that is so obviously flourishing in Peterborough.

“I wish all those involved much success as the ABAX business continues to grow in the UK."

Also present at the opening were Peterborough United Chief Executive Bob Symns, Director of Football Barry Fry and Manager Graham Westley.

Graham also spoke to the gathered guests and welcomed ABAX to the centre.

Norwegian-owned company ABAX also operates in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and the Netherlands. ABAX signed an initial five-year partnership deal with Peterborough United in November 2014.

The opening took place on the eve of Peterborough United’s Emirates FA Cup 4th Round replay at the ABAX Stadium. The game is being shown live on BBC1.

The centre, which opened in summer 2015, is run by charity Allia.
