Customer service and satisfaction is a key priority for ABAX and this event offered customers an insight into ABAX’s working life to help them to get a better understanding of the company, its people and technology.
ABAX not only operates in the UK, but also in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, China and The Netherlands, so experiences are often shared to allow the company to develop as it enters new markets.
The event started with a seminar delivered by ABAX’s sales manager James Asher and the customers, including many from the UK, learned about the technology and how it can save businesses money on their vehicle and fleet management costs.
Attentions then turned towards the evening and Peterborough United’s game against league leaders Scunthorpe United at the ABAX Stadium. ABAX is a sponsorship partner with Peterborough United and the company’s office is based at the Allia Future Business Centre which is situated at the stadium.
Chris Miller, ABAX UK Chief Executive, said: "We value our customers and employees so to get them together to both learn about the company and socialise is a really beneficial way of developing relationships. We operate in an industry which involves quite complicated terminology so we make this as simple as we can for our customers and our team is able to share their knowledge and answer any questions.
"This was a great day and we were glad to have our guests from Scandinavia and the UK with us. "
All guests had a tour of the stadium and a three course meal ahead of the match. Ingar Midtgarden, from Norway, was especially enthusiastic about presenting the man of the match award to Peterborough United’s Michael Smith as his son is a keen footballer who plays for Norwegian team Mjondalen.
Mark Wilson, from St Neots-based Radio Links Communications, added: "ABAX has a wonderful working environment and it is obvious they all thoroughly enjoy what they do. I am a huge Peterborough United fan so to be able to talk with Chris Forrester, Paul Taylor and Grant McCann and also such legends as Dave Farrell and the amazing Tommy Robson was something else. "
Cliff Barrett, from Deeping Car and Van hire, said: "The team at ABAX did a fantastic job especially James when explaining all about the company and its technology."
