Bjørn Erik Helgeland, who is also ABAX’s Chief Operating Officer, met The Mayor, Councillor David Sanders, at Peterborough’s Town Hall and was shown around the mayoral offices and council chambers.
The visit demonstrated ABAX’s commitment to investing in the city and people of Peterborough, where its UK head office has been situated since 2012.
Bjørn Erik Helgeland said: "It was a pleasure to be hosted by the Mayor of this great city of Peterborough and it was interesting to learn a little more about the history of the area.
"We are proud and privileged to have our office at the ABAX Stadium and we will continue to invest in the people of Peterborough."
ABAX was founded in Larvik, Norway, in 2009 and has since gone on to open offices in eight countries around the world.
Currently, ABAX employs around 50 people at the Allia Future Business Centre, situated at the ABAX Stadium, with many living locally including UK Chief Executive Chris Miller.
The Mayor of Peterborough, Councillor David Sanders, said: "It is always fascinating to meet representatives from Peterborough’s business community. ABAX has shown a real commitment to the city and I was delighted to hear of the company’s growing success not just in this country, but also around Europe."
The Mayor of Peterborough prior to Councillor David Sanders was Councillor John Peach and it was Councillor Peach who officially opened ABAX’s new office at the Allia Future Business Centre in January 2016.
The ABAX Stadium is the home of Peterborough United Football Club and this relationship was formed through a stadium naming rights partnership in November 2014.
