Equipment and other valuable possessions to be monitored are referred to as 'powered equipment', if they have their own power source that an ABAX Equipment Control unit can be connected to, for example: excavators, dumpers, lifts or trailers (see more examples here). We recommend the solution "What happened" on this kind of equipment. With this solution you can monitor the usage of the machines and get notified when it is time for service and maintenance. In addition the solution shows you where the equipment is located.

ABAX Equipment Control units for powered equipment have a internal backup battery with a 10-day battery lifetime,  and requires an external 9 to 32 volt DC power source. With ABAX Equipment Control you will have full overview of all your equipment, either from web, phone or tablet. No more time wasted looking for your equipment!

ABAX Equipment Control units can be used to monitor equipment that does not have an internal power source, such as: containers, compressors, heaters and equipment in dead storage (see more examples here). The unit can operate for several years using an internal, long-life battery and special power-conserving configurations. Our non-powered units are produced in two versions, standard and large, according to the capacity of their battery packs. In order to install ABAX Equipment Control, it requires you to mount the unit in a location on the equipment that you want to monitor. We recommend the solution "Where is it" or "Where was it" for this kind of equipment.

For the best possible GPS-signal, the unit should not be mounted under metal and with a clear view to the sky. If extra protection from external environment is needed, the ABAX Equipment Control unit can be protected with a special designed steel cage that still allows for excellent GPS signals.

With ABAX Mini, losing power tools and portable equipment can be a thing of the past. The ABAX Mini is a smart cost-effective way to track power tools and portable equipment. Don't waste your time looking for tools and equipment, such as hammer drills, disc cutters, grinders, core drills, hydraulic tools, surveying/levelling gear, trench rammers, plate compactors and trailers (see more examples here). We use our smallest Equipment Control, ABAX Mini, for this kind of equipment.

ABAX Mini uses Bluetooth and the ABAX Global Network for location reporting. This means that if the ABAX Mini is within a 35-metre range of ABAX hardware, either yours or another ABAX customer, the position of ABAX Mini will automatically update in your system.
